3. What common problems does UltraViolet Cyber solve?
UltraViolet Cyber is on a mission to deliver unified solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. Frequent pain points that we address include:
- Data is everywhere: UltraViolet Cyber provides a unified approach to securing and managing disparate data sources, alerting and tool sprawl, and platform management. Without a unified approach, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency of the customer’s first line of defense is a persistent challenge.
- Resourcing is hard: UltraViolet Cyber offers a range of SOC experts to support the customer. A minimum of six team members monitor the customer’s account 24x7. Given the average retention of SOC analysts is less than two years, having a dedicated and consistent support system is critical.
- Focus elsewhere: UltraViolet Cyber team members are SOC experts and do the heavy lifting, which gives customers time to focus on business objectives.
4. What makes UltraViolet Cyber different from other managed security service providers (MSSP)?
UltraViolet Cyber is not an everyday MSSP. Our approach ensures customers have faster detection and response times, accurate and consistent data, and full transparency. This includes:

- Flexible offerings that can leverage a customer’s tech or use our own

5. What is offensive security?
Offensive security takes a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities through end-to-end security. This includes:
Pentesting:
Penetration testing is an attack against a system, network or application designed to identify and measure risk associated with the exploitation of a target’s attack surface.
Our services will identify security vulnerabilities which could be exploited by real world threat actors. We offer the following types of penetration testing services:
- Internal & External Infrastructure Assessments
- Cloud Security Assessment
- Web Application Penetration Testing
- Mobile Application & Device Testing
- Network Device & Build Reviews
- Wireless Testing
- Code Reviews
Red Teaming:
Red teaming is active cooperation between both SOC and Penetration testing time. It is the process of using Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to emulate a real-world threat with goals of training or measuring the effectiveness of the people, processes, and technology used to defend an environment.
Our service encourages the use of the latest tactics used by real world threat actors to aid with the successful delivery of the following bespoke services:
- Physical Social Engineering
- Red Teaming
- Scenario-Based Testing
- Managed Phishing Services
- Purple Teaming (Red Teaming + Incident Response teams)
